I adore this sauce. I love Frank's products, and I stumbled upon this and basically made an impulse purchase. Quite a bit of confidence going into my purchase considering I hadnt had it before and I was buying a big jug of it.MMMMmmMmmmm. Thin sticky sauce typical of honey or sugar based sauces and marinades. I love the sweetness of it with the mild heat that backs it up. Garlicky. NOT spicy hot. Though may depend on what it is being used on. Can easily change that with the addition of some cayenne pepper or something. Easier to add heat than take it away. I love it as is.I used this in shrimp tacos. I had had an Asia inspired shrimp taco appetizer at a restaurant. Just flour tortillas, breaded shrimp, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce and a Thai sauce. Loved it. But so expensive. I decided to gather up the ingredients to make at home. In the meantime, I bought this sauce and wanted to try it out, SO, I made some tacos with this as well.For this set of tacos I made coconut rice (white rice, coconut milk, garlic powder, chopped hot peppers, salt, pepper). Then breaded a slew of shrimp (flour dredge, egg dredge, panko breadcrumbs. OR save a lifetime and just buy prebreaded shrimp). Baked. Then tossed in bowl with this sauce to coat. I then sprinkled Japanese 7 Spice on top (got the idea from their product description!!) for a little extra oomph. YUM. I took a small soft taco shell, added the rice, added a little lettuce, added the sauce coated shrimp. I recommend crisping up the soft shell a little, or using the soft "boats" instead. Anyway.. Delicious! (Left over rice and shrimp will be consumed as is, sans taco shell. )I am really liking this sauce. I will be buying chicken wings or cauliflower next. Maybe do up a honey-garlic WITH a sprinkling of parmesan. Maybe make a dip with it. Possibilities seem endless.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------The BEST BY date on mine is early 2024. I bought mine on sale through the warehouse, so I totally expected a shorted date on it (think of how stores have clearance items, usually the dates are close in future). However, keep in mind that a best by date has no bearing on safety. This is not an expiration date. All it means is that it is a guarantee of freshness and quality. If stored well, it will be fine for a long time. "BY THE WAY, the date is printed ON the bottle toward the top. It may be hard to see since it is black print against dark sauce.
